Way to many Russian jokes, that and most of the sketches were misfires tonight. Also it’d be nice to see Pete Davidson on more than the intro.

    • Mike Hasher

      2nd week he wAs mia

  • Mike Hasher

Very harsh on trump and a nice warm Hilary video were they trying to be less mean spirited by adding Putin?
Were the jokes that were renewed at the end of update better than others this week?
And does the Christmas episode exempt from your cameo rule rich or did Alec John Fred and chance overstep it?(was John and Alex trying to make up for the fact they missed the goodbyes

  • Matt Racine

devestated haha. i’ll really miss this podcast.

  • Could Rich and Mike Bloom not cover it weekly? Or some other combination of RHAP or PSR hosts? I understand if Rob’s schedule is getting cluttered and he wants to concentrate on other things next year, but PSR itself doesn’t have that much week to week and it would be a shame to get rid of it.

    • Anna

Agreed, would love to keep this podcast! I look forward to the Seinfeld/SNL podcasts every weekend. The comedy/sitcom recaps on PSR is already lacking as it is!

    • trouble11

Oh. No. Yeah, would seem like someone else could step in even if there is nobody as good as Rob. Big bummer. Alas…

    • Adam Bradford

100% agree. I understand if the juice isn’t worth the squeeze for Rob, but we would love if they could find someone else to step in. How about one of the So You Think You Can Podcast candidates that didn’t win like Jon or Liana? IMO, Post Show Recaps needs a lot more material.

  • Ryan Alexander

Yeah, this is a major bummer. I started watching SNL again after the podcast started up a few years back… is there no way Rich can keep it going?

  • Melanie Novak

I’ve been listening for about a year and really enjoyed this podcast! Only wish I’d have found it earlier. Great job both Rich and Rob, thanks for the memories!

  • Mass congrats to Rob and Rich on a great last few years! This has been one of my favorite podcasts so I’m of course sad to see it go, but as someone who works almost around the clock I understand the need to have some spare time here and there. Thanks for the laughs for ingraining “uhhh boy” in my brain for the rest of my life.

  • Amy KT

I’d like to add my voice to those who would very much like to see the weekly podcast saved! Can a replacement be found for Rob? This podcast made me start watching SNL again and it is a listening highlight of my week. Hell, I’d likely finally become a patron if it somehow gets saved as an act of appreciation for hearing us in the community that would like it saved. Thank you so much for everything you do!

  • SuzaSuzie

Oh man this sucks 🙁 love this weekly SNL recap, I pretty much only watch the episode every week so I can listen to the podcast.

  • saundra S

Bummed, this is the only post show recap I actually listen too. I am going to miss the OH BOY!! I actually subscribed to the feed for just this show.

  • Richie

Does it seem like SNL is doing a lot more gay jokes this season than before?

  • Jeff Bajorek

For starters – a big thank you for the many years of covering SNL. Totally understand Rob’s schedule is crazy hectic, and we appreciate all you do.

Maybe we can get a podcast of the Top 10 Best and 5 Oh-Boy sketches each 1/2 season?

Also, what about an off-season Survivor Fantasy Season with SNL characters? Although, we know Stefon would win ,,,

  • Charles Bikle

I’m sorry to hear you guys are wrapping up the podcast. Even when I didn’t agree with your assessments, I always enjoyed listening to them.

I’m sure you guys have discussed this, but maybe just take a little break for a few weeks, see if that rejuvenates you and then maybe re-start the podcast.

In all seriousness, I wonder if the lack of a break between regular Big Brother and Rob’s coverage of Big Brother: Over The Top might’ve contributed to the exhaustion.

In any case, thanks for the podcasts; they were always enjoyable and fun.

  • Will Lowry

Please keep the podcast with Rich and Mike, if not a variety of weekly hosts in his stead. Rich’s commentary is so valuable and it’s such a great companion to the show. Don’t get rid of the show just because Rob (understandably) needs to take a bit of a lighter load!

  • Daniel P.

So disappointed. I understand if Rob can’t do it anymore but I’d love to find another host. I started watching SNL this season so I could listen to the podcast and have really been enjoying it.

  • Suzi!

This is terrible news!! I enjoy the show so much, but I understand it’s a lot of extra hours for Rob that he doesn’t really have time for. This podcast will definately be missed!

  • Swamp Fox

Sad to see this one go. Really like the Rich and Rob combo — that’s what made the show work. Those 2 have a great dynamic. I’d rather the show die out instead of saddling Rich with Bloom or Antonio or other replacement co-host.

  • TeePee77

This is so depressing. Someone make Rich listen to the Afterbuzz SNL recaps until he feels our pain and comes back with another co-host.

  • Charles Bikle

And, if I’m being honest, there are other Post-Show Recaps I’d rather see fall by the wayside… https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d7f5a9ccf2d72ecaacb8e1e1942e33d5178c4062ec73b41d955b21c2c523a16b.jpg
