DAREDEVIL: Condemned | Season 1 Episode 6 Recap

Listen to the Podcast

Plow through some floorboards and hit the sewers with us, on day six of the daily DAREDEVIL podcast!

Today, Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) and Kevin Mahadeo (@kevmahadeo) examine the sixth episode of Marvel’s Netflix series, called “Condemned.” While it’s an episode of DAREDEVIL in reality, it often feels like an episode of 24, what with its close-to-real-time format, and Matt Murdock acting like Jack Bauer on more than one occasion. It also feels like the end of act one of DAREDEVIL, and the beginning of something frightening and new, as the “masked man” takes a big hit in terms of his public reputation.

Let Josh and Kevin know your thoughts on this episode and on the podcast in the comments below!

Thought it was interesting that Matt ultimately let the Russian kill the cops who were following them into the tunnels. Was that him accepting the message Vlad was trying to give him? Gotta wonder.
As to the guy he threw off the roof, I think he told Claire that it was the same dumpster she found him in and he had been thrown into from the same roof which is why he “knew” roof douche would survive.

Episodes 5 and 6 Back to back, are I think, the best 2 episodes of the season so far. They are just perfect together.

Just binged “listened” to the first 6 DareDevil podcasts, really enjoying it. Now looking forward to 7 and what I think might be the best episode 8.
