Wow i was about to drop this show and this episode brought me back. Again the life equation is present, this was the Mr. Robot episode of the series. What do we fear? Time. Darth Chris and Padawan Travis are sick of Madison and Alicia’s almost getting them killed, I wondered why they hired Ruben Blades for this show, this episode pretty much nails it, great flashback usage with the kid, Last episode Daniel heard a voice, now he’s remembering a kid I’m sure he killed before. Is Celia the big bad? The Owl Organization is probably the big bad and can be used as a way to explain how the apocalypse started, at least the group behind it. Maddie is totally hypocritical, Nick was hooked on drugs remember. Nick is hooked on his reality and that scares Maddison. Great podcast.

Haven’t listened to the podcast yet, but two things I wanted to add before I do.

Was I the only one who thought Luis’s mother was hitting on Nick in this episode? She was really dropping hints.

Also, I really hope the writers are not doing to Salazar what they did to Madison and Travis’s character by killing all the things that made Salazar awesome. I feel like he lost a little bit of his killer instinct in this episode, which would suck because he is the best character on the show.

I thought the same about Celia and Nick. Her first comment to him was a compliment about his looks. Mrs Robinson anyone?

      • Craig

I could see it working though. She likes dead people, he likes to cover himself in the guts of dead people. There would be a lot of grunting in coitus.

Ewwww! I love it…if they have a scene together next week I’ll have to try not to laugh.

Good recap, thanks guys. I picked out the same thing that Rob did when the flotilla guards on the boat shot at the Abigail for about five seconds, then let them go to the shore. I heard the comment about whatever’s on the shore will take care of them, but I didn’t really see anything that inspired danger. Our group essentially walked up to a church where people were taking communion.

The parishioners were armed, and I assume they had the intent of killing Celia’s basement people(?). Also assume they would not have opened fire on a group of strangers that were human.

I like what Alex mentioned about how there was no precedent or history of zombies in that world. Understanding that you must shoot or knife the brain of the infected, must have been huge learning curve for most people. The infected don’t look as wasted or dilapidated as the older zombies from The Walking Dead, so I could see how people like el loco Celia would think they are in a ‘transitional’ state.

Strand is too much of a survivor to consider taking his life along with Thomas. I think the tears and kind words were for Abigail only.

    • Matt The Golem

I figured the guards decided to stop shooting so the people would go to shore and they’d just tow away the undamaged boat and keep it for themselves.

I don’t know Rob your Strand impression sounds less like Strand and more like George Takei to me

  • Matthew Murphy

They teased the Madison death tonight but hopefully it happens by the season finale, than this show has a shot of being good. The more of the Clark family the harder it is to watch. Killing of Louis and Strand’s man sucks because they actually had interesting stuff going on.
