I think it was the surfing lessons that did it for me. Could have been Madison and the hotel beacon of Gondor. Or maybe it was the Ophelia flashback with her boyfriend that only served as notice that one of my favorite shows, Manhattan, has been canceled.

You guys sound like fans at a sporting event and your team is losing 110-3 with one minute left in the game. I find all of your podcasts entertaining, but if you gotta clip this one I will not shed a tear. This show cheapens the original Walking Dead because of its poor writing.

    • Matthew Murphy

It’s continuous garbage. Kill the whole Clark family and start again.

  • Matthew Murphy

The van Madison drives to the cartel has the hotel logo on it. Next episode I’m sure she’ll just write down directions for them. I guess when you get enough chimpanzees in a room you get this quality of television.

  • Corey Shaw

I like the podcast better then the show.. Keep going… #dontkillstrand

  • Matthew Murphy

The should be called Wear the Walking Dead.

Josh: I’m pretty sure that sicky sicky gnar gnar is usually a noun. The gnar comes from gnarly which used to be used an adjective. So drop off the “ly” and it’s a noun? Maybe?
Anyway I’ve only heard stuff like “the gnar” and not “it’s gnar.” Maybe I’m completely wrong and it’s used as both.
    Someday we will find out!

Josh, don’t hold back and please tell us what you really think about Ofelia. Madison is just the worst, I can’t stand her at all.

  • Caelan

I don’t know which is worse… This season of FTWD or all of your Strand impressions. Please stop!!

  • David

Your guys’s post show is the only thing keeping me going #JSS Please #DontKillStrand and don’t kill this podcast! #strigoi

  • Sylvia Aponte

Apologies to anyone that likes/loves the show, but I kind of wish Strand would serve up a round of poisoned wine to everyone involved in Fear and put us all out of our misery ala King Jeffries fatal toast. It’s never a good sign when we are far more entertained by the podcast than the actual show. You guys are great but your talents are better served elsewhere.

  • Matt Racine

i pretty much listen to everything RHAP, but with FTWD i just can’t pretend to care at all. I stopped watching before the midseason finale and while i’ve continued with the podcast I’d vote that you guys could use your time recapping a new show next year. i LOVE the dedication, but sometimes you can hear the suffering in your voices. it’s fun listening to you guys talk about Survivor cause it excites you! I feel like FTWD takes your joy away haha.

The Walking Dead is about people making stupid decisions in a zombie apocalypse. FTWD is the exact same thing. The only difference is that people had more patience with TWD because it was something new and were able to let the characters grow on them. I have noticed these flaws from season 1 of TWD, but have come to accept them. If this podcast is just going to be a bunch of complaining every week then I say stop pod casting FTWD.

    • Matthew Murphy

The Walking Dead had good characters and killed off a lot of the bad ones whereas this version decides to make the worst characters the main characters. That’s the difference.

    • I think a big part of it is that TWD characters were fully developed long before they came to television. Whereas the FTWD ones were developed for the show and we are still trying to figure out what they are doing and where those stories are going. My faith that we will ever find that is waning, but I still have some spark that maybe they will shake things up.

  • I’ve been listening to the podcast for the same reason I keep watching the show. I think there’s potential and I don’t want to give up on it. In this case though, I’m closer to ditching the podcast than I am the actual show.

I thought I could listen to Rob and Josh talk about anything – but the contempt they have for what they are covering gets old really quickly. Pull the plug and concentrate on shows you actually like.

  • Charles Bikle

Like many of your recaps, I often find I enjoy the podcast more than the actual show it is recapping.

It’s actually kind of fun to goof on a show as flawed as FTWD, so, personally I’d like to see (hear ?) you guys continue, regardless of the quality of the show you’re discussing.

  • Charles Bikle

Maybe the premiere of The Walking Dead will open with Negan, standing over Rick & his group and interrogating them about some ratty-haired kid that owes him drugs, only for Madison to come rushing in & pulling the baseball bat out of his hands and throwing it aside while demanding to know where Nick is ?

  • Tazz DeMazz

The podcast is prob what keeps me watching so keep going.

  • Wesley”Walker”

Rob, My opinion is this show sucks and you are a funny guy. I’m at peace now saying this and can drift off into a tyrese esque coma . Can you now do a podcast on 47 years of misery, ridicule, and jinx: the saga of the NY Jets? Do you think we got a chance this year? Best receiving corps we ve had since , well Wesley walker

    • There will be much more suffering talking about the Jets!

  • Matt The Golem

Since you guys hate the show, drop reviewing it and pick up Kiefer Sutherland’s new Designated Survivor instead.

  • TrentC

    *just survive somehow

    *just change the channel

  • Matthew Murphy

As much as I hate on the show I really hope this podcast finds a dumpster to crawl on it, especially now that Kidwell has become a regular on it.

  • I definitely enjoy the Fear The Walking Dead podcast, and I think
sometimes you guys can be hard on it. ;P So my vote is for covering it.
I’ve even found it a better show than the main Walking Dead show, at
times. But maybe I’m the odd man out, I like that Fear The Walking Dead
is sometimes more simple and understated.
