Here are some of the links mentioned in the Book Club: My interview with George R.R. Martin about Winds of Winter

And that awesome theory about the end of the series that I think could be what George is referencing:

  • Avery Gordon

Jon is so committed to the Night’s Watch that the last we see him he is getting ready to break his vows and get involved with the wars of the realm by leading a raid on Winterfell. C’mon Josh.

Also to say being King is not something he would want doesn’t make sense because we saw him being extremely tempted to take up Stannis’s offer.

    • Josh Wigler

Pink Letter is a threat against the Wall, so there’s a real argument that it’s self-defense for the Watch. I don’t buy him wanting to become king, after especially since he shrugged off Stannis’ offer.

      • Avery Gordon

He didn’t shrug off Stannis’ offer, wasn’t he about to accept it until he saw ghost.

  • Michael Eales

The Jeyne Westerling reveal could be that she is pregnant with Robbs Heir ?

Arianne Martell!! Quentyn?! I worry that they are not going to do justice to the tragic awesomeness of Dorne

    Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken.

I haven’t gotten too involved with theorizing yet…but your convo got me excited. I find the theory of Bran interesting, particularly because if we’ve started to learn anything its that “good” and “bad” doesn’t exist like black and white in this world.

I have theorized about when the books will be released though. I think GRR has committed to finishing this story in 2 books. In order to make sure he does that, I think he is basically writing both at once and that the last book will come out within a year or so of Winds of Winter.
