I agree Josh. Sansa is my favorite Stark. Littlefinger’s interest in her is going to turn her into a gamer. While all the other Starks are loyal to a fault, Sansa is going to learn how to play the game

I still haven’t forgiven her for causing Ned’s death, Lady’s death, Mycah’s death, and Nymeria’s escape. All because she wanted to life vapidly ever after. The North remembers, Sansa!

I know this was from another episode but I just thought I’d point out that Hot Pie got his name from when he used to sell his mothers pies. He would stand on the side of the road screaming “Hot Pie!” For some reason the disqus wasnt loading for me on the other episode.

  • Mike Giangreco

Lmao at the sexual conquests of Pod. In the books he’s only like 10.

  • Mike Giangreco

Of course Littlefinger would burn the world to be king of the ashes. Thats exactly what he did when he framed Tyrion with the dagger and started the war for his own benefit.

Rob & Josh: I’m really loving these podcasts! They’re getting me excited for Season 4 – and Josh is so knowledgable, they’re also helping me fill in the gaps in my knowledge.

BUT. You two bros are objectifying all the women….spread it around! Remember, there are plenty of male hotties in Westeros, too. Since you don’t have any women on the podcast, here are some notes for you. Try to work them in, fellas:

Jon Snow: Yes. Those curls. Those eyes. Those fur coats. Aloof, sexy. Let’s just say, I would not complain if Jon traveled “south of the wall”
Gendry: Hottest man in The Seven Kingdoms. Why are there ever scenes where Gendry is wearing a shirt?!
    Joffrey: Don’t even. Gross
Theon: Cute, but I dunno…feels like something is missing…
Tyrion: Sometimes less is more, am i right?! Smart & sassy, and it seems like he’d try really hard.
Littlefinger: Handsome, but kinda pervy and not in a good way. Plus, he was obsessed with Catelyn Stark for how many years? Good God. Stage Five clinger.
Jamie Lannister: Smokin’ hot, obviously. God, I wish I was related to him.
Pod: Hmmmm, I dunno. All those ladies in the brothel can’t be wrong?
Robb: Objectively he’s attractive, but..ugh. Seems like a man whose skill with the sword does NOT transfer to the bedroom.
R.I.P. Khal Drago, my sun and my stars. I miss that huge…ponytail.

      Hilarious! But what about Bronn?

      • Paula J

        Oh Bronn! So many options.

    • Josh Wigler

If Drogo was still on the show, I’d make things very awkward, I promise you that.

Also, I have a serious Jorah Mormont man crush.

      • Josh Wigler

ALSO, there is a new male character coming up in season four that I am going to get ALL UP in. Just saying.

        • Paula J

Eff….I forgot Jorah! Not really a man of action, but he does have that sexy protector vibe working.

(And I *hope* you’re talkin’ Red Viper there. Haven’t seen any casting, and I pray he does not disappoint.)

        • Steve2081

He does carry a long spear!

    • Trixie02

“God, I wish I was related to him.” LOL.

You forgot Jaqen. Just rub a coin and say “Valar Morghulis” and there he is.

      • Paula J

Hahaha…he comes on command. Yes, I do like that in a man.

I wasn’t sure if it was fair to count Jaqen because technically he doesn’t look like that anymore, right?! But he’s definitely a hottie.

It’s interesting, basically every religion/cult in this world has shown supernatural powers EXCEPT the primary religion of Westeros.

Army size from largest to smallest would go Tyrell > Lannister > Stark > Baratheon (Stannis). The exact figures are unclear, and I’m sure someone will correct me but from memory I think the North/Riverlands alliance have around 20,000-30,000 men at this point. The Lannisters have somewhere between 30,000-40,000 and the Tyrells have maybe 40,000-60,000. Renly had a huge army (close to 100,000), but it was split between Stannis and the Tyrells after the shadow baby came out to play. Then some of the deserters ended up deserting back to the Tyrells after the battle of Blackwater Bay. With all this flipping you’d think you were watching Survivor: Amazon.

Anyway the point is, Daenerys doesn’t have the numbers. But if you believe the stories, one unsullied is worth like 8 regular soldiers. Plus she’s got the dragons, so she’s not in a bad spot.

I am having trouble getting the podcast version of this episode.

  • HI

In reference to Sansa. You described her as kind of a floater in the game. I think that’s right, but I’ve always had a Ciera vibe from her. She’s kinda weak and vulnerable to start with, but towards the end I think she could be a part of some major plays that ultimately determine how things go just like Ciera. I’ve read a bit ahead in the books and it hasn’t happened yet, but her arc seems to be largely focused on her learning how the world works. A big late-game play could be just what she needs for validation as a character. Don’t count her out yet (as many did with Ciera pre-merge).
