Walker was elected in 2012 and took office in 2013. Frank was sworn in as President in Fall 2014. Since Frank is serving more than two years of another President’s term, he may only be elected once on his own. (22nd Amendment).

    Thanks for the recaps.

Apparently both Mendoza and Ayla left because of commitments to other shows filming at the same time. Must be really lame for the writers to be forced to drop characters like that.

I thought the season overall was really great, but not as exciting as the previous two. My favorite thing about the show’s previous seasons has been the Game of Thrones-esque political intrigue. The stuff with Dunbar and the Russian president this season was great, but having Frank start out in such a weak position (as president but with no one supporting him) and then end with him in a possibly weaker one (with no chance of winning without Claire), just doesn’t get close to being as satisfying as his rise to power throughout seasons 1 and 2. It’s just a lot more fun to see Frank and Claire plot and scheme together than not get along. I was really hoping that the direction they were taking it was Claire as Vice President, not divorce.

What I wish for from the show moving forward: More Game of Thrones, less War of the Roses!

According to Anagram Solver (, there’s no exact match, but a partial anagram is: Coast Is Clear.

Also, i’m pretty sure Cassie Lockheart is a minor character in the Harry Potter series. Not sure what the connection would be though.

Had this idea for a HoC drinking game: Take a shot every time Doug Stamper destroys a laptop. By the way, when I say take a shot, I mean with an actual shot glass – not a syringe, unless you really want to do it “Stamper Style”.

Dunbar’s speech after losing Iowa should have looked more like this:

  • Mendoza resigned from office. Which is why he isn’t running.

    Aw no feedback show? :/
