It’s been a bad week for Robin’s roommates, but at least one of them still has his head — if not all of his finger.

With his brains literally still intact, Kevin Mahadeo (@kevmahadeo) rejoins Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) to talk about episode seven of Marvel’s “Jessica Jones,” called “AKA Top Shelf Perverts.” Beyond some grievances with the episode name, Kevin specifically takes issue with Jessica’s crazy plan to catch Kilgrave, after the mind-controlling monster kills someone close to her. The co-hosts bounce those problems back and forth to see if they can come up with a happy resolution.

Check back on Wednesday (December 2) for another episode of the podcast, covering “AKA WWJD.”

Kilgrave in the police station was his Lloyd Dobler moment. He said he is new to love but he knows what it looks like because he watches television. And, according to television, he has to make all these grand gestures to convince the girl that they are a perfect match… and he is doing that by challenging her with all these obstacles. He expects to win her over in the end because, like on tv, their being together is inevitable….. I love that throughout the series they mock typical tropes in tv and movies…. as well as the source material itself.

In the last scene with Robyn talking about Ruben’s love of the zoo and the giraffes with their long necks – wasn’t that a creepy callback to the way that Kilgrave had him kill himself? I totally lost all of the feel-good of that scene once she talked about the necks. Eesh.
