Last night’s epiosde of reminded me of the Miley Cyrus episode from the season premiere in the way the skits were placed

Thank you for posting the podcast version.

Can’t stand embedded blab replays. They’re so dysfunctional.

  • Suzi!

You can just feel the audience fill with joy when Darryl does Bill Clinton.

    • AndyMcGill

It was interesting because it made an interesting commentary on the election — not necessarily anti-Hillary, but interesting.

Most SNL sketches this election season are just Candidate A = dumb, Candidate B = dumb, etc.

  • AndyMcGill

Kanye West was in serious mental meltdown and is now begging for fans to pay for his $53 million in debt for drugs and prostitutes. SNL was just lucky that he was only terrible on the show, rather than wanting to have sex with Taylor Swift because he “helped” her career.

Plus, Taylor Swift seems to be really bad at sex – look how often she gets dumped !

  • Matt The Golem

What does Rich think about the rumour of Kanye threatening to walk out before the show started? http://pagesix.com/2016/02/15/kanye-west-has-epic-meltdown-backstage-at-snl/?_ga=1.166544375.872525548.1455459768

    • Suzi!

I think he’ll say anything for publicity ~

    • Charles Bikle

I read about this. I think as a standby measure, they should just have a cast member ready to do a solo song if the musical guest wants to.

THIS particular cast, seems to have a lot of singers, so I can’t imagine it being difficult to set this up.

      • Matt The Golem

I’d like to know if Rich has any insights/insider info, eg on how the cast and producer reacted; if Kanye is now banned from returning, if there are existing contingency plans for a guest host walking out, etc.

  • Laws

This week on Rich Doesn’t Get The Youths, Rich doesn’t get that the clouds behind Kanye were intentionally pixelated. World facepalms.

    • Charles Bikle

I guess, but it still made for bad TV.

Whatever visual effect he was going for was just not working.

  • Charles Bikle

I get that his first song was about God, family and/or the afterlife, so I thought his lyrics of “any freaky chicks in New York, Holla !” seemed to be out of place, but then again, we’re talking about Kanye…

  • AndyMcGill

Kanye’s meltdown about Taylor Swift, yet again, is why SNL is downplaying him. He is probably the most disgusting human being in the history of music. Everybody knows he is going to end badly, very very badly, and so is just waiting for the trainwreck.

  • Jeff Bajorek

Great episode and podcast. Any thoughts on the cut for time supermarket spree skit? I thought it was really funny…
