Here is the knock-off Golden Boy shirt.

    • Gal Baum

I also wear shirts from 94 (at home), but not yellow shirts, and definitely not my wife’s (I’m not married, but still!).
I don’t think regular people wear yellow shirts. The only people you can see with them are sports fans (Maccabi Tel Aviv fans in Israel).

That shirt is holding up like a champ. I had a shirt that was practically see through by the time it got tossed out. Every time it was washed I thought it might just dissolve out of existence.

I finally tried farina this year; it was really good! Also called cream of wheat, it is very much a comfort food. Try it!! You can top it with anything you like, from simple butter & salt (what I do) or fruit, milk, sugar, nuts, etc.

Interesting thing about the name Testakoff, “testa” is Italian for “head,” and “koff” is German for “head.”

Very interesting. He did hit her in the head 2 times.

I believe Jerry’s story about the blow hole monolog. Jason must have assumed it was written right there on the fly.

  • Chlsea_1905

This episode definitely makes my top 5 Seinfeld episodes of all time. I feel that without the final monologue though it would drop substantially in my rankings.

First great job guys! I really enjoy listening. When was this podcast recorded? For the first time after listening to 76 previous recaps, I finally got the motivation and sent an email with questions and it wasn’t read? Instead we had to endure the ramblings and echos of topics already addressed from Chester? #nomorechester. On another note, did you guys ever address who the lady is at the cash register at Monk’s?

    • akiva wienerkur

We record Wednesday afternoons. I’ll tell Chester he’s banned.

  • Jacqueline

I appreciated Chester’s contributions to the show!

The reason Jerry is acting the way he is at the ATM is from a stand-up bit (I can’t remember if it’s from the show or not) where he talks about being at the ATM is like a race with the person next to you. When he leaves the ATM he says “I win.”

There’s no reason to think that Jerry should recognize this woman. He hasn’t seen her since college and apparently they were just friends (neither he nor George dated her). People can change a lot since college.

I think the reason Jerry doesn’t tell the ATM woman about the pilot when she asks what George is doing is because in the world of the show, the pilot was a failure and therefore not something to be proud of. See the reaction when Elaine reads about the pilot in the alumni magazine and follows it up with “which was not picked up.”

Rob says that Carol Kane’s character is a crazy person because she talks about being in an MRI machine for 45 minutes and freaking out. I don’t see how this makes her a crazy person – being in an MRI machine can be a scary experience. Kane usually plays crazy kooky characters but this time she comes off as perfectly reasonable – someone hit her with an organizer and she wants them to pay for her medical bills. What about that makes her crazy?
