  • Suzi!

I love this podcast. Look forward to it every week.

It’s “PLAN 9 From Outer Space,” not “Planet.” Makes it even funnier as the worst movie of all time.

    • Craig

I cringed every time he said “Planet”.

Even if Rob only knows about P9FOS from Seinfeld, it was a key plot point from The Chinese Restaurant. Very surprised that he would get it wrong here.

I don’t think that George was a horrible person for not breaking up with Susan there. She was crying. I think it’s just the basic human thing to want to help someone who is crying. Also, he will have many other times in the season where he could have gotten out of the marriage but didn’t.

Also, I must say that it’s very bad that Chester is sneaking food like that to the movies. Uncool Chester. If I was there I would shut that down fast!

  • Hornacek

The second time George comes home and Rob thinks he’s feeding a gerbil when he drops some “pebbles”, I think he’s dropping pocket change on the counter.

Rob is being ridiculous in his theory that Elaine went back to the rabbi and made up George’s question about going to a prostitute because we don’t see Elaine telling the rabbi this anecdote. It seems pretty clear that when she was telling the rabbi about George’s engagement she was likely including past encounters with George to describe the type of person he is and why she was so upset that he was getting married before her, and that’s where the prostitute question comes from. This is exactly the sort of hypothetical question George would come up with (seriously, who watches this show and doesn’t think this is just the type of thing George would ask Jerry while they’re sitting at Monks?) and he probably did this months/years ago. Because it’s related to someone who is engaged it would naturally come up when Elaine was telling the rabbi about the type of person George is.

George and Susan are watching the rabbi’s show because they’re flipping around. Susan (?) says “Oh it’s that rabbi’s show.” so it’s obvious that they just changed the channel to the rabbi.

More than once in this episode Akiva mentions “stamps” in relation to Susan’s death. I’m surprised that a Seinfeld super-duper fan like him would make this mistake. It was licking the *envelopes* that killed Susan, not the stamps.
