I thought Father Gabriel was waiting to hear Negan’s confession so he could kill him. Negan’s post-confessional straight left made me laugh. At one point I thought Eugene and Dwight were already working together. Yes I think I need to rewatch. I liked how Daryl helped Rick dive out of the way midfight because of the pending explosion. Good buddy muscle memory. Jess was on fire with her Rick and Ken impersonations and the Jack Shack just about made me wet my pee pee pants. Thanks for the podcast. Pink Pearl Given the way this season loves the nonlinear scenes, I would not be surprised if we get some kind of flashback to Dwight and Eugene agreeing to work together at some point. Andiamo That punch in the face made me laugh too. Best part of the whole scene. TrentC That’s the whole key to Surviving Negan. You just attempt to kill him. Everyone who’s tried seems to get a slap on the wrist, a compliment and then an offer. oh…except Sasha. aardvarkratnik Even then he didn’t know Sasha was going to be a suicide. TrentC Yeah he only killed her because she was in his face up close and surprised him. Andiamo Absolutely. You may get a friend or loved one killed, but you’ll be sitting in front of a plate of pickles in no time. TrentC Or a nice dogfood sammy and Easy Street!!!! oh no Andiamo Oh right, I missed a step. 1) Attack Negan 2) Take a knee 3) Eat pickles TrentC 1) Attack Negan 2) Take a knee 3) Work 14 hour shift sorting pickles 4) Make a nice gherkin sandwich Bry_Lander My helicopter theory. That is actually the helicopter that Travis was tossed out of from Fear the Walking Dead. After the last FTWD episode, Walker and Crazy Horse leave the dam area and travel back to the El Bazaar. They happen across a survivor who was formerly an Army helicopter pilot, and they take him back to the compound to take a look at the helicopter. They acquire the necessary parts, the pilot repairs it, and they decide to make their way east to Washington DC, where the pilot believes they will find elements of the government still functioning. The pilot has a map of all of the military installations between the compound and DC, so they fly as far as they can, land, get fuel and parts, and then hop to the next base. Due to complications from encountering walkers and other survivors and the difficulty of finding fuel and parts, the plan goes awry several times, so it takes several years. They finally arrive in the DC area, and Rick sees them flying overhead in Season 8 Episode 5. J-me not Hi-me Q: Which side is Eugene on? A: Eugene’s side, and only Eugene’s side. TrentC The Eugene-speak was A+ this episode. He only need open his mouth and I start to smile. Clemens Soil Lüer Actually there is a person in the comics that would be comparable to Daryl…Michonne In the comics Rick and Michonne never get together since he is with Andrea (still hate that part of the show where they made her completely unlikable and ruined one of my favorite character from the comics) Anyway…Michonne becomes his right hand similar to Daryl on the show They never have a fight like Daryl and Rick this week, but still. Pink Pearl They don’t, but they have some sort of schism, given that after the time jump she disappears for months at a time and we get that fantastic full-page spread of Pirate Michonne at the helm of a boat. ohrenclez Oh yeah. But I never really got why they were angry at each other. She only really left because she didn’t want to get too close to Ezekiel, out of fear of loosing him. But yeah, Pirate Michonne was amazing…I really liked all those redesigns that happened after the time jump. Justin Curry How do you guys think that the garbage people will play into this season based on them just barely being in this weeks episode? I’m expecting them to be a big part in next week’s episode but not sure on what will happen with them. aardvarkratnik Hopefully that’s an attack helicopter and it comes in and annihilates them. Andiamo I’m curious what Rick will offer the Garbage Pail Kids for their services. Maybe a chance to move out of the dump and into the Kingdom, since there are a few vacancies over there (RIP Kingdom fighters.) I like the idea that Simon was once the Saviors leader, or maybe Gavin. The conversation about Simon and the early Saviors being like a biker gang had me thinking, does Simon have a Proctors jacket hanging in his closet? aardvarkratnik The times I enjoy the show most these days are episodes that feature Negan and Simon. I can’t help but think of King Ezekiel as “King Ass Face” now. Hilarious.
