    Negan overshadowed him, but I really dug Simon, too. I’m hoping he sticks around a while. He has a cheerful malevolence that’s appealing.

    How do either of these leaders retain control? I mean, why do so many stay with Negan when he’s such a sadistic psychopath? What does he offer the large group who are basically his slaves? Negan’s group might be safe from walkers but the constant threat of Lucille doesn’t seem much better.
    Same question with King Ezekiel – holding court with a tiger is impressive, but how does he actually retain and exert control over the people of The Kingdom? What happens when the king has to make tough unpopular decisions that a large number of subjects don’t approve of?
