Westworld | Season 2 Episode 8 Recap: “Kiksuya”

Take our hearts with you when you go, but don’t go anywhere until you’ve listened to this week’s “Welcome to Westworld,” in which hosts Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) and Jo Garfein (@jopinionated) gush about the eighth episode of season two: “Kiksuya,” all about Zahn McClarnon’s Akecheta. Find out why they think this is one of the best episodes of Westworld yet, if not the very best.

re: Westworld techs re-purposing the scalps of the hosts, didn’t they say that they were short handed? That’s why they didn’t bother re-doing Aketecha’s (sp) programming, just upgraded and put him back out.

    • Anita N.

Yeah, a person could really get bogged down in the logistics of the place. Why, for instance, do some of the techs wear biohazard suits when they go topside? What’s the danger that doesn’t seem to be a problem for the guests? Little things like that.

  • CamPT

Truly was one of the best episodes of television. Just keeps raising the bar.

A.I. becoming sentient has freaked me out since 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I’m like Elon Musk without all that money.

Robots remembering past incarnations that were wiped is one thing, robots remembering past loves just raised the bar on the freak out scale.

    • Anita N.

Robots remembering I owe them money are already a concern.
