AANG IN THERE: Avatar The Last Airbender Book 1 Episode 18 “The Waterbending Master”

Zak Mohamed (@Zakmohamed32) and Jacob Redmon (@jkredmon) are joined by a master that is willing to take on two students, AJ Norris (@thekidnorris)! Together, they water whip their way through the 18th episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Zak, Jacob, and AJ arrive with a warm welcome to their discussion of “The Waterbending Master”. They create some crazy theories about Zuko’s history with air instruments, break down Northern Water Tribe “activities”, and the sexist nature of Pakku’s culture.

Afterwards, they go through listener feedback, rank the episode, and sort the South Park 4 into bending classes (Cartman, Kyle, Kenny and Stan).

Zak and Jacob will be back with Book 1 Episode 19 and 20, ” The Siege of the North, Part 1and Part 2″.

“The Waterbending Master” was directed by Giancarlo Volpe and written by Michael Dante DiMartino. It originally aired November 18th, 2005.

About Aang in There …

Aang in There is a spoiler-filled rewatch of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Every week, Zak and Jacob break down an episode of ATLA with the benefit of knowing the whole universe of Avatar. We also include the following segments:

  • Episode Recap – Zak and Jacob start by giving an in-depth breakdown of all the plot points and minor details from the episode.
  • Feedback – Zak and Jacob go through listener feedback and answer the questions or comments written into their official email: [email protected]
  • Episode Rankings – Zak and Jacob will create an official Aang in There ranking of every episode of ATLA, by rating them all on a scale from 0-4. Zak and Jacob will give their own scores, plus the listeners’ scores will be averaged and added as the third point. Then, the three scores will be combined to create the official podcast score for each episode!
  • Battle of the Battles – Zak and Jacob will rank the Battles similar to the episode rankings. Each battle will be ranked from 0-4 and Zak, Jacob, and the listener’s scores will be averaged together to get the official Battle Rankings.
