Sharp Objects | Series Premiere Recap: Vanish
Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) and Emily Fox (@emelette) kick off their summer coverage of HBO’s Sharp Objects, based on the novel by Gillian Flynn. The miniseries stars Amy Adams as Camille Preaker, a reporter who returns to her hometown Wind Gap, Missouri in order to investigate the murders of two young girls.
In their first podcast, Josh and Emily discuss the first episode, Emily’s experience with the miniseries as someone who has read Flynn’s original novel, and more than the occasional sidebar, including Chris Messina’s eating tactics in the film “Julie & Julia,” in which he co-starred opposite — you guessed it! — Amy Adams.
