AANG IN THERE: Avatar The Last Airbender Book 1 Episode 14 “The Fortuneteller”

Zak Mohamed (@Zakmohamed32) and Jacob Redmon (@jkredmon) are joined by guest Audrey Sizemore (@AudreySizemore1) to talk about the 14th episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Zak, Jacob & Audrey get their fortunes told as they recap “The Fortuneteller”. They get into Audrey’s origin story and how she came to love Avatar, before diving into the recap. There, they talk about Aunt Wu’s long con with the village, Sokka’s failed attempts to use logic and reason with these gullible villagers, and Aang’s poor attempt at flirting.

Afterwards, they go through listener feedback, rank the episode, and sort the original Cheetah Girls into bending classes, with Audreys help.

Zak and Jacob will be back with Book 1 Episode 15, “Bato of the Water Tribe”

“The Fortuneteller” was directed by Dave Filoni and written by John O’Bryan and Aaron Ehasz. It originally aired September 23rd, 2005.

About Aang in There …

Aang in There is a spoiler-filled rewatch of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Every week, Zak and Jacob break down an episode of ATLA with the benefit of knowing the whole universe of Avatar. We also include the following segments:

  • Episode Recap – Zak and Jacob start by giving an in-depth breakdown of all the plot points and minor details from the episode.
  • Feedback – Zak and Jacob go through listener feedback and answer the questions or comments written into their official email: [email protected]
  • Episode Rankings – Zak and Jacob will create an official Aang in There ranking of every episode of ATLA, by rating them all on a scale from 0-4. Zak and Jacob will give their own scores, plus the listeners’ scores will be averaged and added as the third point. Then, the three scores will be combined to create the official podcast score for each episode!
  • Battle of the Battles – Zak and Jacob will rank the Battles similar to the episode rankings. Each battle will be ranked from 0-4 and Zak, Jacob, and the listener’s scores will be averaged together to get the official Battle Rankings.
